Display products that complement the current product and encourage customers to discover items that pair well together.

Complementary product recommendations are managed through the Shopify Search & Discovery app.

Set up complementary products

Before complementary products can appear, you need to create product recommendations using the Shopify Search & Discovery app.

1. Install and open Search & Discovery from your Shopify admin.
2. Go to Product recommendations.
3. Select the product you want to configure.
4. Add the products you want to recommend as Complementary products.
5. Save your changes.

Once configured, the recommended products can be displayed in the Complementary products block on the product page.

Note: Complementary products are managed independently for each product. If no complementary products have been configured for a product, this block may not display any recommendations.
